Is the park accessible to wheelchairs?
Yes.
The Park is accessible to wheelchairs, but at the moment the main path is mown and not paved. Woodland paths are laid with wood chippings. Both can become muddy in wet weather.
We are seeking extra funding to create a hard path suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters and until we can raise the money (approx. £50,000), we are sorry the paths may be impassable for wheelchairs at times.
There are parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in Snells Wood car park, nearby.

In summer the grass (except for the picnic and play area) will be high, ready for hay-making. The park is surrounded by trees. For these reasons barbecues and campfires will not be allowed.

what is there for children to do?
Apart from the freedom of the Park itself, there is a dedicated paddock for children to play in.
A slide is now on order which will follow the natural contours of the Park into one of the former clay pits and will be set within a scooped-out tree trunk.
We are also plannning to build a natural play area made from big oak trunks bolted together (and RoSPA approved) to create a den for climbing up, balancing on, jumping off, crawling under and all round good fun. This style of play area will be new for Little Chalfont and very much in keeping with the natural ethos of the Park. The target is £20,000.
The Community Library nearby stocks an excellent collection of children's educational materials.

Are outdoors concerts or Events allowed?
No.
With consideration to neighbours, only events which encourage creative or artistic talents that have harmony with nature will be allowed. Also, for much of the summer there would not be the space while the wildflower meadow is growing.

Yes.
